The owner of Pizzeria Uno, the iconic Chicago deep dish pizza company, is selling its frozen food business to Great Kitchens Food Co. The Pizzeria Uno restaurants are not part of the deal. Remeoville, Illinois-based Great Kitchens Food, a manufacturer of take-and-bake pizzas and flatbreads, is buying the Uno Foods division of Uno Restaurant Holdings Corp. from its owner, Newport Global Advisors. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Founded in 1988, Uno Foods manufactures and distributes frozen and refrigerated pizzas, calzones, entrees and appetizers from its facility in Brockton, Massachusetts.
