The residents of the home were able to safely evacuate before firefighters arrived. ROMEOVILLE, IL — A townhome was damaged during a fire in Romeoville on Monday, according to the Lockport Township Fire Protection District. The fire was reported at 5:38 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of Oak Creek Lane. Firefighters arrived to find a fire in the attached garage of the home, which was going up the outside of the home and involving multiple vehicles, according to the fire district. The unit was part of a 4-unit townhome complex.
